👑 Identity in Christ:

Today’s Reflective Question:

Do I know that I am loved by God?

  • I wanted to introduce you to my robe.
This robe got me through all kinds of hard times, especially when I was depressed.
I’d get home from work, put it over my head, and for just a moment,
it felt like a little cloak of protection and comfort.
And it kept the world away.

As we look at God's unconditional love for us,
and as we look at our identity in Christ this week,
the first thing you need to make sure you grab
is the fact that God's love for you is like a cloak that rests upon you.

And it's not contingent on your good behaviour,
and it's not contingent on your bad behaviour.
It's contingent on the fact that you've made peace with God through the blood of Jesus Christ.

And now He wants to lavish you with love.
He loves you when you're mentally ill,
and He loves you when you're mentally well.
    He absolutely dotes upon you.

And we need to build our identity in the fact
that we are loved by the Most High God.

So today, on this first day, I want you to ask yourself:

Do I know that I am loved by God?
